Finally - if you have a special ed teacher, an English Language Learner teacher or a summer school teacher tell you to read a different book from one of these that's OK.

Graphic Novel Requirement

You are ALSO asked to read a graphic novel of your choosing. If you need some ideas, ask the folks at the Beverly Public Library, at Paper Asylum, at local bookstores, or ask your friends! Here are two lists from the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) and one from the Reading Middle Grade blog:
There is no response assignment connected to the graphic novel. Just read it & enjoy and be ready to tell us the title and author in the fall!

Going somewhere else next year?

Students entering Beverly High School should follow directions on the Beverly High School Summer Reading website.
 
Students entering a different school in fall 2022 should find out what that school's summer reading requirements are.
