Entering Grade 7 or 8?

Those entering 7th or 8th grade at Beverly Middle School in fall 2023 should:

1. Read at least one book from the grade 7 and 8 list.
2. Do a response piece. Your ELA teacher will have directions about turning it in in early September. It will count toward your T1 grade.
3. Read a graphic novel of your choice (no assignment to do with this)

While these are minimum expectations, we definitely hope you will read much more all summer long!

We also encourage all - kids, teens and their adults -- to sign up for the Beverly Public Library summer reading programs. 

The books on this list represent a range of genres, formats, topics, experiences, heritages, identities and situations.  There is a little something here for everyone!
