Letter to a Character About Choices

Do you like to write thoughtful letters to people? This could be your response?

Each character in a story makes choices and decisions that affect them and the others around them. Do you think they were wise choices? Why or why not?

• Pick a character - it doesn't have to be the main character!
• Think of 3-5 times in the story when they had to make a decision or a choice. 
• Think about each of these choices. Given the situation, do you agree with what they did? Or would you have advised them to act differently?
• Write a letter to tell them what you thought about each of these choices and why.
• Do not write a generic letter or write to the author.
